Itinerary Overview
Day 1: Arrival in Diego-Suarez
Arrive at Diego-Suarez Airport and transfer to your accommodation at Hotel Allamanda. Relax and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.
Day 2: Amber Mountain National Park
Depart at 8 a.m. for a guided tour of Amber Mountain National Park. Choose from circuits of varying difficulty (relaxed, medium, or fast-paced) and explore its waterfalls, crater lakes, and rich biodiversity. Enjoy lunch at Nature Lodge before returning to Hotel Allamanda.
Day 3: Red Tsingy
Depart at 9 a.m. for a 2-hour drive to the iconic Red Tsingy. Marvel at these unique sandstone formations sculpted by nature. Lunch will be served at Red Tsingy Camp. Later, transfer directly to Ramena and stay at Hotel Lakana.
Day 4: The Emerald Sea
Board a traditional “botsy” boat at 7 a.m. to the stunning Emerald Sea. Spend your day snorkeling, kitesurfing, and relaxing on its pristine beaches. Enjoy lunch on Île Suarez before returning to Hotel Lakana by 3 p.m.
Day 5: French Mountain and Diego-Suarez City Tour
Hike French Mountain, selecting a trail that matches your pace (relaxed, medium, or fast). Afterward, return to Hotel Allamanda for a break. Spend your afternoon exploring Diego-Suarez with a city tour and shopping.
Day 6: The Three Bays
Start your day with an 8 a.m. 4×4 drive to Dune Bay. Embark on a scenic hike passing Pigeon Bay to Sakalava Bay, renowned for water sports like kitesurfing and wingfoil. Enjoy lunch at Madakitecamp before returning to Diego-Suarez for an overnight stay at Hotel Exotique.
Day 7: Ankarana National Park
Leave at 7 a.m. and stop at Anivorano village to visit the sacred crocodile lake (Lac Antagnavo). Continue to Ankarana National Park, where you can explore Tsingy Rary, the Bat Cave, the River Loss, and the Tsingy towers. Enjoy lunch at Snack 17 and stay overnight at Ankarana Lodge.
Day 8: Return to Diego-Suarez
Travel back to Diego-Suarez, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Relax at your accommodation and reflect on the memories of your journey.
Day 9: Departure from Diego-Suarez
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight, bringing home unforgettable memories of northern Madagascar.
